‘People want to protect walls that are beautified’
41 Fleet Street is Jamaica’s very own ‘South Bronx block in New York’. The murals are said to be a reflection of the community’s thoughts and feelings with positive messages seen resonated over most of the paintings. Locals were more than receptive to allow their walls to be painted and stated that the community members would protect walls that are beautified.
With over dozens of murals to see, visitors can meet community locals or use the occasion for your very own personal photo op moments. 41 Fleet Street is totally safe and locals are always receptive to outside visitors. So when you do find yourself with an hour or two free time head on over to 41 Fleet Street and transcend in a world of street art.
